Coalition partners, people to decide Musharraf’s fate: Zardari

CNews ISLAMABAD: Co-Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Senator Asif Ali Zardari Friday said that it is up to the leadership of coalition partners and the people of Pakistan to decide the fate of President Musharraf after he is impeached. In an exclusive interview with a private television channel the PPP Co-Chairman said that he has however advised the President to resign and get out of system more than two months ago. He said the PPP being a democratic party has always taken mature decisions and it was under this thinking that the President was advised to resign. “I am too small a person to say something about safe passage to President Musharraf because there are seasoned and heavyweight politicians in the coalition” Zardari said in respond to a question adding a decision to this affect would be made with the consensus of coalition partners. To a question, he said the murder of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto would be probed by the efficient experts under the supervision of United Nations and hopefully the facts would come on surface with the passage of time. He said the investigation of Benazir Bhutto’s murder case would not be individual specific.

Addressing a press conference, Gulalai said she wanted to hold presser tomorrow but as some PTI women had a press conference so she had to respond. “I am not concerned about party ticket or NA-1 seat, it is an illogical allegation, she said.  “Among many things, sending text messages is one of their bad habits,” she said. Gulalai said that Imran Khan always talks about turn of people to leave, adding that now it’s the PTI chairman’s turn. “Imran Khan cannot keep himself in control,” she said. The former PTI MNA said that Imran wanted to introduce western culture. She said that she is not the only one facing such a situation, many women in the party are facing such behaviour.
