(cnews lahore):Lahore High Court (LHC) four deposed Judges have taken oath again on their posts, as administered by LHC Chief Justice, Syed Zahid Hussain.The Judges, who took fresh oath, included Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed, Justice Saqib Nisar, Justice Umar Ata Bandyal and Justice Asif Saeed Khosa.LHC existing Judges, law officers of the federal and provincial ministries of law, lawyer affiliated with the People’s Party, Kazim Khan and the relations of the Judges taking oath attended the oath-taking ceremony held in LHC Judges Lounge. None of the office-bearer of Lahore High Court Bar attended the ceremony. LHC security arrangements on this occasion were made stringent and unconcerned person was not allowed to enter into the Hall. Earlier, the ministry of law in a notification issued had said that the LHC strength of Judges has been raised from existing 50 to 60. Presently, 33 Judges exist in LHC and after the addition of four more Judges having taken oath, the strength has increased to 37, while 23 posts still lying vacant.

July 05: A Pakistani Scientist in Britain has invented a new chemical for processing plastic (polythene) bags which has the quality of dissolution after its use in 105 days.A manufacturing unit for these plastic bags was being set up in Turkey while interest has been shown in the setting up of a big unit and manufacturing firm’s head quarter in Karachi which will be used to supply such dissolvable polythene bags to Asian countries.
