Qazi hints at supporting Zardari

CNews LAHORE: Amir Jamaat-i-Islami Pakistan Qazi Hussain Ahmed has hinted at accepting PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari as next president if he was elected by the assemblies.Addressing a ceremony at Aiwan-e-Iqbal here Monday, he also extended his support to parliament if it went to repeal the seventeenth amendment from constitution.He urged all the political parties to chalk out a joint strategy to keep the environment peaceful in educational institutes.

SC dismisses last petition against Musharraf’s eligibility ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court Thursday dismissed the last petition against President Musharraf's eligibility to contest the presidential elections.
