CNews QUETTA: The death toll in earthquake in various parts of Balochistan has reached to 35 as dozens reported wounded in the Wednesday morning temblor in the western province of Pakistan.
In Ziarat at least 15 dead bodies have been found from the landslides caused by the tremors.
which jolted Balochistan here early Wednesday morning as a quake of six point two magnitude hits northeast of Quetta.
Strong earthquake jolted Quetta and it’s vicinity with magnitude 6.2 on Richter scale but no loss of life was reported in preliminary reports. At least 40 person were injured while 17 persons confirmed dead in the quake.
According to details, three quake tremors felt in Balochistan near Quetta, one of which was stronger enough to shake the earth for some time.
People of the area flee out of their homes in panic and started praying as the temblor shook the earth. Several houses were collapsed in some affected areas.
Initial reports suggest that areas of Quetta, Sibi, Bolan, Chaman ,Mastung, Qilla Abdullah and Qalat were trembled in the seismic activity. The epicentre of the quake was said to be 500 km away from Peshawar, capital city of NWFP.
