CNEWS CHARSADDA: Five persons killed and thirteen wounded in suicide attack in Wali Bagh, the residence of ANP leader Asfandyar Wali Khan in Charsadda.ANP leader remained safe as relief operations were launched immediately after the attack. Interior Advisor Rehman Malik has ordered investigation of the incident.According to CNews correspondent four injured have been in critical condition adding that the death toll could increase. According to DIG Mardan Syed Akhtar Ali Shah, a suicide attacker tried to enter in Wali Bagh, the residence of Awami National Party leader. Security guards stopped him and Police opened fire on the bomber but he detonated the blast in which five persons were killed including two policemen, a body guard of ANP leader and two party workers while thirteen others wounded.Asfandyar Wali was receiving guests at his home as part of Eid celebrations.The ministry of interior had received reports of possible attacks on Aftab Sherpao, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Chief Minister of NWFP Amir Hyder Khan Hoti after which their personal security was further stepped up.

July 05: A Pakistani Scientist in Britain has invented a new chemical for processing plastic (polythene) bags which has the quality of dissolution after its use in 105 days.A manufacturing unit for these plastic bags was being set up in Turkey while interest has been shown in the setting up of a big unit and manufacturing firm’s head quarter in Karachi which will be used to supply such dissolvable polythene bags to Asian countries. The Director of UK based firm Bio Plast Biodegradable Plastics GL Punn while leading a 15 member delegation called on EDO Municipal Services City Government Masood Alam.
