AMagazine LONDON: British Foreign Secretary David Miliband on Wednesday "unreservedly" condemned the attacks in India's financial capital Mumbai that killed nearly 60 people.
"Today's attacks in Mumbai which have claimed many innocent victims remind us, yet again, of the threat we face from violent extremists," he said.
"I condemn these attacks unreservedly.
"Our thoughts are with the families and friends of those killed and injured. The UK and India will continue their joint efforts to counter the actions of terrorists."
A series of shootings and blasts across Mumbai late Wednesday left nearly 80 people dead, hospital officials told media.
Indian media said that as many as 450 people had been injured in the attacks, which saw heavily armed men with automatic weapons and grenades target luxury hotels in the south of the city and the main railway station.
