AMagazine ISLAMABAD (Awaz Apni): An important meeting between President Asif Ali Zardari and Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani is presently underway to discuss the post Mumbai terrorist attacks scenario,while Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has also arrived in President House to join the meeting.The meeting was the first interaction between the three elders of the nation and was considered to be an important one following the India’s accusations of Pakistan’s alleged involvement in Mumbai terrorist attacks.Tag:

This troika must get together more often - and Gen. Kiyani should drive home to the other two 'elders' of the nation that things like sending our ISI chief to India, specially at such a critical moment, is simply not done. How could the PM or the president agree to such a demand from the Indian PM in the first place?
Couldn't our 'elders' tell the Indian leadership point blank that Pakistan has nothing to do with whatever has happened in Mumbai - and that it's their internal matter? After all, Indian Foreign Minister told Condi Rice only yesterday that India didn't need FBI help because they are quite capable of handling their own affairs. If they refused FBI help, then why do they need ISI?
Please, please dear 'elders', don't get into the Indian trap. The Indian press and intelligentsia are waiting to chew us to bits. Let's maintain some dignity and let us protect our country and its image more carefully. It's very precious.
