Awaz Apni ISLAMBAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani was called on President Asif Ali Zardari here on Thursday; later American ambassador Anne W. Peterson also met the president, Awaz Apni reported.The PM and Zardari discussed the situation following the dismissal of Advisor of PM on National Security Mehmud Ali Durrani.Sources said the PM in the meeting defend his discission of firing Durrani, who was sacked for his irresponsible behaviour for not taking the Premier and other stakeholders into confidence and creating lack of coordination on matters of national security.Peterson exchanged views concerning the tension between Pakistan and India and the current regional security situation.Sources said, in the meeting she urged Pakistan to take special measures to break up the network of banned outfits involved in Mumbai incident after the conformation of Ajmal Kasab’s nationality. However, president’s spokesman Farhat Ullah Babar has never conformed the meeting as yet, held between the PM and president Zardari.
