Pakistan beat S.Africa in Twenty20 semi final

NOTTINGHAM: Pakistan beat South Africa by seven runs in their Twenty20 World Cup semi-final match at Trent Bridge, Nottingham on Thursday.
South Africa went in to this tournament as the favourites and Pakistan, who started as a very ragged unit, came to the fore when it mattered the most, to send South Africa packing.
Chasing 150 was not going to be easy with Pakistan's bowling, but it was neither beyond reach. Afridi bowled exceedingly well and Gul came in late to fire in those lovely yorkers to seal the game in Pakistan's favour.
Man of the Match Afridi said ‘I am very happy to see my team in the Finals. My captain and coach supported me a lot, I asked them to send me at Number 3 or send me to open, they believed me and that has paid too. I am enjoying both my batting and bowling. Everything is coming out well with the bowling, I am very happy today.’ Captain Younis Khan said ‘We always get a lot of good support here, it helps a lot. We are slow starters and it's good to be tagged as the under-dogs, no pressure around and that helps. Shahid (Afridi) is a match winner and that is why he was promoted to Number 3. I thought we fell short by 20-30 runs. The bowling has been very good, I am not worried about the fielding now.’
The next semi final is between Sri Lanka and West Indies tomorrow.
