Read Office Documents On Mobile Phone

It should be easy to guess what this application is all about. For all those who couldn’t, Quickoffice is one stop file solution. It’s actually Microsoft office in mobile phone. Quickoffice was developed not only for Symbian based mobile phones but for many other platforms. With the release of Quickoffice V5.0, the trouble regarding the latest XML file formats is also being sorted.

Features of Quickoffice Premier 5.0:

• Since the earlier versions of Quickoffice lacked the most important feature of providing support to printing, this new version has been carefully integrated with the printing support.
• Another improvement worth mentioning is the new and improved search utility within the already opened documents.
• Quickoffice not only supports the MS office file formats but it also provides a tight integration with the pdf files.
• Moreover they have also ensured that upgrading to the latest version of Quickoffice is very easy. What you need to do is just click on the purchase button and the payment can be done via reverse SMS procedure so that you can avoid the inconvenience of using your credit card.
• The user interface of Quickoffice is also very clean which is actually a file browser. In this latest version V5 of Quickoffice, another option of new document has been added to the list.
• Earlier reported issues such as preservation of images, formatting, styling, insertions, footnotes and charts is also been taken care of.

Just looking at the improvements and the other office suits available, I could not resist saying that this office suite is certainly the best one around. However there is a little bug which I would like to eradicate which is the lack of word count feature and that is quite important atleast to me.

Supported platforms: Series 60, S60 3rd Edition

In Depth: Could robots be the writers of the future?

CNETAnalysis: It might be concerned with aliens, outer space and dimensional jumping for now, but ‘sci-fi’ might have to be redefined if the latest advances in automated writing continue apace. Software that can construct sentences, analyse data and even put a ‘spin’ on a news story are threatening to make the newsdesk and the author’s writing room very different places. The end for journalists? Journalism isn’t complicated. The popularity of online news stories can be tracked – and therefore the importance of news easily ranked – while almost everything is written using the inverted pyramid structure . Since automated writing software can already do most of that, are we looking at the last generation of human journalists? Narrative Science’s Quill is the leading automated writing software title. It transforms structured data into readable, plain English stories that are identical to those written by humans, ...
