Awaz Apni LONDON: Commenting on President Zardari’s speech on the occasion of 2nd death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)’s Chief Altaf Hussain said views expressed by President Zardari are valuable and MQM welcomes it.
In a statement, Altaf Hussain said people of Pakistan, whether belonging to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) or any other political party, had condemned Benazir Bhutto’s assassination.
“Leaders and workers of PPP were emotional today on the occasion of 2nd death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto, and it is natural,” Altaf added.
MQM chief said President Zardari pointed out the sacrifice of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto and other PPP workers for the people of Pakistan and democracy. He said MQM welcomes President Zardari’s slogan ‘Pakistan khappay’.
Altaf further said MQM will always play its role for democratic system and democracy is in favor of the country.
