AWAZ APNI KARACHI: Several people were injured as blasts occurred in Karachi and Muzaffarabad on the occasion of Muharram processions , AWAZ APNI NEWS reported Sunday.
In Karachi, a blast took place near Kasba Mor in Banaras Colony of the metropolitan. Some five people, a rangers personnel and a child among them, were injured in the blast, Police said.
Police said fire has broken out at the site following the blast. However, nature of the blast could not be ascertained as yet.
Talking to AWAZ APNI NEWS, SSP Fayaz Qureshi said the blast was of low intensity.
In Muzaffarabad, several people were wounded as suicide bomber blew himself up in a failed attempt to enter Imam Bargah.
Police and rescue teams arrived at the scene and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals.
