If you are interested in widgets and have any expertise in using HTML and JavaScript, you may be interested in a competition run by OMPT to design the best BONDI widget to be presented at the GSMA Mobile World Congress (MWC), Barcelona, 15th-18th February 2010.
The first prize of $5000 should provide some motivation to create some innovative widgets, but you may be even more interested in the promotion of the developer of the winning widget at the event itself.
OMTP will demonstrate the winning widget on a multitude of BONDI supporting devices to key participants of the event, which should naturally upgrade the profile of the winning developer to those who really matter in the industry. The winning widget will also be promoted on the OMTP and BONDI websites after the event finishes. Other prizes of various mobile phones are also available.
Creating a BONDI widget couldn’t be simpler. Using just a notepad, an image editor and the example widgets provided by BONDI, you can very easily create your own widget.
Further, using the Perfecto Mobile service, you can remotely access and control a selection of Windows Mobile based devices that have been set up with the BONDI Reference Implementation. You can easily upload and install your widget on these devices, and test that it works properly and displays correctly on a variety of devices with different screen sizes.
