Awaz Apni KARACHI: Sindh Assembly session witnessed rousing tumult, as the members hailing from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) staged a walkout in protest against harsh speeches by Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza and Local Bodies Minister Siraj Durrani, Geo News reported Tuesday.
Both the leaders delivered emotionally charged speeches at the floor; but, the MQM members were not allowed to respond. Reacting to this, the MQM members went out of the house in protest.
Sindh Health Minister Dr Sagheer Ahmed of MQM tried to give his statement in reaction to the fiery speeches by the Home Minister and the LB minister; but, he was stopped short by Acting Speaker Shehla Raza, saying she is running the House in accordance with the rules.
Dr Sagheer said his party condemns the killings of 125 party workers in one year, adding the Speaker is showing partiality. Later on, Muttahida members raised slogans and walked out of the House.
The session has been paused for the moment, as Senior Minister Pir Mazharul Haq, Jam Madad Ali, Murad Ali Shah and Ayas Soomro are making efforts to bring them round.

Mirza says could call army if needed
AwazApni KARACHI: Interior Minister of Sindh Zulfiqar Mirza said army could be call in the city if needed.
Talking to media before start of provincial assembly session, Mirza said section 144 could also be imposed in other parts of the city.
Addressing the assembly session, provincial interior minister said police officers of SP level are being deputed in three operational headquarters of the Rangers and Rangers and police could launch joint operation to bring law and order situation under control. He vowed that unbiased action would be taken against mischievous elements.

Durrani raps CDGK for impeding in Sindh govt matters
Awaz Apni ISLAMABAD: Sindh Local Bodies Minister Agha Siraj Durrani said City District Government Karachi (CDGK) is interrupting in provincial government matters and no has right to cancel the maps approved by Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA).
Replying on point of objection, Durrani has asked the city government to rectify its attitude, consult with a psychiatrist and than start preparation for elections. We are tolerating lots of things because of President Asif Ali Zardari’s reconciliation policy. He said CDGK never took permission for cancellation of approved maps and 2020 vision program. He praised the nazim of Hyderabad for his efforts and urged him to reelect as nazim.
The deputy parliamentary leader of MQM in Sindh assembly Faisal Sabzwari said PPP and MQM are coalition partners and they should extend their cooperation in other levels also. Acting speaker Shela Raza in her ruling urged both the parties to resolve their issues in core committee. If anyone goes in media, the answer will be given in the assembly.
