Faisal Shahzad and his wife, a Pakistani, son and daughter, disappeared last May, according to a neighbor. MSNBC reports that his Shahzad's name is Huma Mian. Shahzad disappeared first. The bank foreclosed on their Shelton, Connecticut home and Shahzad has been living in a Bridgeport, Connecticut apartment. Brenda Thurman, the neighbor, said the family was friendly, but a little odd, and frequently dressed in traditional Muslim clothing. See two videos below. Updates as available.

If you missed the news last night, Shahzad, a Pakistani-born, naturalized American citizen, whose name was first reported as Shahzad Faisal, boarded United Arab Emirates Flight 201 to Dubai, when apprehended. The flight had taxied, but returned to the gate and Shahzad was arrested. Obviously Shahzad was not on a no-fly list, or the United Arab Emirates ignored it if he did show up. GEO436 is reporting Shahzad was naturalized less than one year ago. Other reports say he was arrested before he boarded the flight, but the general consensus is that he did make it onto the flight.
The feds found components from the bomb making equipment in a car he parked at JFK, and a 9 mm handgun with ammunition clips. He apparently was renting an apartment in Bridgeport (sans wife and children) where more bomb components were found, including a box that had contained the alarm clocks used as a detonator timer.
Pakistani police told Geo436 that Shahzad arrived in Karachi, Pakistan on July 3, 2009, and returned to the States on August 8th, 2009. From Karachi, it is believed he traveled to Peshawar on the Afghanistan border. The same source reports Shahzad has just recently returned from another trip to Pakistan which resulted in a 5-month stay.

Shahzad was on board Emirates Airlines Flight 202 to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and the jetway had been pulled back when the plane was called to return to the gate, a law enforcement source said. Shahzad was booked through to Islamabad, Pakistan, via Dubai, a senior airline official confirmed.
"They just caught him at the last second," a law enforcement source said.
Security officials removed three passengers from the flight late Monday, including Shahzad -- who was taken into custody, the senior airline official said.
Authorities searched the plane, luggage and checked all passengers again before the flight took off early Tuesday for Dubai minus the other two passengers who were removed with Shahzad, the airline official said.
