Awaz Apni KARACHI: Two worker of Mutahida Qaumi Movement have been shot dead and five others sustained serious injuries during an armed attack on the party office in Gulistan-e-Johar.
According to police, Rangers and Police troops have been called in the Gulistan-e-Johar as fear and harassment prevails, after deadly firing, in the area.
The injured workers of MQM have been taken to Liaqat National Hospital and Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. All the injured are in critical condition and medical teams of both the hospitals, are busy to cure them of severe bullet wounds.
The angry people have ablazed a Mazda van and other valuables in the area and firing has erupted from all sides of the areas.
The MQM leader Hyder Rizvi, talking to Awaz Apni, told that two injured workers are in critical condition and doctors are trying to save their lives.
After eruption of firing, people ran for safety and those all who were at the homes, they preferred to stay back.
The area, where this deadly attack took place is near to Darul Sehat Markaz and many marriage halls are situated in the same vicinity. All those who were attending marriages in these halls are trapped there in fear and waiting for police or Rangers’ help to escort them to safe places.
The police are not allowing media persons to get near the affected areas as they fear any sudden mishap in the troubled areas.
Earlier, a dead body of 25 years old youth was found in Drigh Road area, who was shot dead by unknown people while another dead body of 28 years old Rizwan was also found from the same area.
A third dead body of 25 years old youth was found in Malir, who was also shot dead by the unknown persons.
