Ghari Khuda Bakhsh Sind Peoples Party Pakistan (PPP) workers and leaders from across the country are gathering at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh to pay tribute to late PPP leader Benazir Bhutto on her third death anniversary today.
President Asif Ali Zardari Monday said Garhi Khuda Bux is Kerbala of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
Addressing a large gathering held here to observe 3rd death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto, Zardari said, “Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto is renowned across the world for his intelligence and a day came when our spiritual father offered his martyrdom.”
Zardari said Benazir also used to tread the same path, adding, ‘Benazir is standing by me and is visible to me.’
Benazir served the nation for 30 years, as serving people was to her a mode of worship, Zardari asserted.
On this occasion, Zardari also disclosed that BB was assassinated by Baitullah Mehsud, who is dead now.
Visitors are also offering prayers at the graves of the Bhuttos. Quran Khawani for the former prime minister is also being held at the graveyard.
Strict security measures have been taken on this occasion. Over 5,000 policemen, Rangers and intelligence officers have been deployed in Naudero to provide security during the third death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto. Medical camps have also been established on the routes through which caravans will be passing.
President Asif Ali Zardari is scheduled to address a large gathering later in the day.
A large number of admirers and supporters of former prime minister and former chairperson Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Benazir Bhutto continued to pour-in to pay homage to the late leader who became the first woman leader of a Muslim nation in modern history.
The major events of the anniversary are being held at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto mausoleum Nau Dero (Larkana).
People from various parts of the country have gathered here in great number to pay tributes to the great leader. They are visiting the mazar of Shaheed Mohtarma and offering fateha.
Sindh government has made strict security arrangements in order to avert any untoward incident during the third death anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
Duas and Quran Khawani for the departed soul of Shaheed-e-Jamhoriat are being held on the mausoleum. The supporters are also laying floral wreath on the grave of the late leader.
Electronic and Broadcasting media were telecasting special transmission to commemorate the 3rd anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in order to pay homage to the great leader.
Chairman of PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and has also reached Sindh.
