White iPad 2 Coming, Beating iPhone 4?

CNET Analysis: We had hoped that the White iPhone 4 would have been launched by now, but it seems as though the White iPad 2 could be coming first. If this were to happen, then it would be a total embarrassment for Apple. Having said that, they would be pretty stupid to release the other color option of the 4th-generation iPhone just months before a new model is due to hit the market. The reason why rumors have started up once again for the white version of the iPad 2 is due to the fact that 9 to 5 Mac has received images of a part for the new tablet. They say what we are all thinking, how come they can produce this in white and not the iPhone 4. This is a good question, but we do know that Apple has had an issue with how the flash reacts to the white on the latest iPhone. This is the best rumor that we have yet for a white iPad 2, and we are not even certain if this will be a color choice that we would want. However, when you consider just how popular Apple fans have wanted other products in white, we cannot see why this would not be the same for their tablet device as well. We only have two days to wait until we know what the 2nd-generation iPad will look like and what specs it will have. It is most likely that it will be powered by the A5 dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM and also a front-facing camera for FaceTime, but that's about it for now. There is also speculation that the iPad 2 will come with a Thunderbolt port like the new 2011 MacBook Pro , but we will just have to wait and see. We would like to know a few things from you, would you buy a white iPad 2? What hardware would you like to see? Finally, what price would you be prepared to pay for the new Apple tablet? In Depth: Could robots be the writers of the future?

CNETAnalysis: It might be concerned with aliens, outer space and dimensional jumping for now, but ‘sci-fi’ might have to be redefined if the latest advances in automated writing continue apace. Software that can construct sentences, analyse data and even put a ‘spin’ on a news story are threatening to make the newsdesk and the author’s writing room very different places. The end for journalists? Journalism isn’t complicated. The popularity of online news stories can be tracked – and therefore the importance of news easily ranked – while almost everything is written using the inverted pyramid structure . Since automated writing software can already do most of that, are we looking at the last generation of human journalists? Narrative Science’s Quill is the leading automated writing software title. It transforms structured data into readable, plain English stories that are identical to those written by humans, ...
