The Invisible Imaginary iPhone, future in your hand

Now we all know that the new iPhone 5 will be shipping around September time and it would be fantastic if we were to see this the new invisible imaginary iPhone, this is what we call ‘Future in your hand’.
Patrick Baudisch researcher at Hasso-Plattner Institute has made this new technology all possible and if you watch the video below you can see the invisible iPhone in action, this could become reality in the future.
This technology is worth thinking about, your phone rings, or you want to call someone, maybe you would like to play a game, whatever the scenario there is no need to hold the Apple iPhone because you can just hold out your hand and use that as the screen. We visited Technology Review and they report that the ‘Invisible iPhone’ has an Xbox-like depth camera that will acknowledge a users finger when your swipe or stroke your hand.
This new hi-tech gadget does require special software so that it can determine gestures the user is making; it transmits commands to a physical phone, via WiFi radio. Muscle memory is what this is all about here; the software memorizes this in order for it to work.
According to Baudisch when they were researching they found that iPhone users could determine and we mean accurately determine the position of two-thirds of their apps on their palms, and this can be done without looking at the iPhone itself. If you look at the video below you will learn more. The camera technology is a on the large side and researchers are hoping to get this camera down to a small size.
Please do watch the YouTube video below of the Invisible Imaginary iPhone below courtesy ofseangustafson, please let us know what you think of this new technology.

In Depth: Could robots be the writers of the future?

CNETAnalysis: It might be concerned with aliens, outer space and dimensional jumping for now, but ‘sci-fi’ might have to be redefined if the latest advances in automated writing continue apace. Software that can construct sentences, analyse data and even put a ‘spin’ on a news story are threatening to make the newsdesk and the author’s writing room very different places. The end for journalists? Journalism isn’t complicated. The popularity of online news stories can be tracked – and therefore the importance of news easily ranked – while almost everything is written using the inverted pyramid structure . Since automated writing software can already do most of that, are we looking at the last generation of human journalists? Narrative Science’s Quill is the leading automated writing software title. It transforms structured data into readable, plain English stories that are identical to those written by humans, ...
