CNewsworld.com: Body of foreign aid worker found in Quetta
Staff Report
QUETTA: Body of a senior officer of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) was found today (Saturday) from Airport Road of the Quetta city almost three months after his kidnapping, SAMAA reports.
Dr Khalil Asjad Diale was kidnapped by armed men from the Chaman Housing Scheme in January 2012. He was a British citizen and had been working in sub-delegation Quetta since February last year.
Police said on Sunday that his body was found in pieces from the airport road as none claimed responsibility of his murder.
In the wake of current unrest in Balochistan, the provincial government asked all foreigners working with national and international NGOs and UN organisations to restrict their movements and not to go anywhere without informing police.
The area from where the ICRC official was kidnapped is considered a high security zone because most of the offices of all organisations of United Nations, including UNHCR and Unicef, and other international NGOs, are located there. SAMAA
