While talking to Dunya News, he said his Labour Party membership has been restored after completion of inquiry. He said that he had to face hart times for three months as a Pakistani daily newspaper disseminated wrong information about him regarding head money of then prime minister Tony Blair. He said that false allegations caused defamation which badly hurt his image of personality. He made it clear that his membership from House of Lords was not suspended. After restoration of his parliament membership, he would continue to serve the Labour Party, he concluded. He said that legal action would be undoubtedly taken against the people involved in false propaganda against him.
