Wireless phone recovered from imprisoned Dr Afridi


Breaking News PESHAWAR: Investigations have been kicked off against six security personnel in the wake of recovery of a satellite phone from Dr. Shakil Afridi, being detained in Central Prison Peshawar.
According to sources, Dr. Shakil Afridi used the satellite phone to give interviews to a foreign newspaper and to make a number of calls within and outside Pakistan.
A security man has also bee taken into custody for allegedly delivering the phone to Dr. Afridi, sources told CNewsworld.
On the other hand, Deputy Superintendent Prison Maqsood-ur-Rehman told CNewsworld that Dr. Afridi's lawyer or brother who had come to see him a while ago might have smuggled the phone into the prison and given it to him.
Investigations are now being carried out against six security officials who were deployed for Dr. Afridi's security.
According to the Deputy Superintendent, neither any official was taken into custody nor suspended.

  0 پشاور … سینٹرل جیل پشاور میں قید ڈاکٹر شکیل آفریدی سے سیٹلائٹ فون برآمد ہونے پر 6سیکیورٹی اہلکاروں کے خلاف تحقیقات شروع کر دی گئیں، ڈاکٹر شکیل آفریدی نے فون پر غیر ملکی اخبار کو انٹرویو زدئیے اور متعدد کالیں کیں۔ ذرائع نے جیو نیوز کو بتایا کہ سینٹرل جیل پشاور میں ڈاکٹر شکیل آفریدی سے سیٹلائٹ فون برآمد ہوا ہے، سیٹلائٹ فون فراہم کرنے کے الزام میں ایک سیکیورٹی اہلکار کو حراست میں لیا گیا ہے۔ ذرائع کے مطابق ڈاکٹر شکیل آفریدی نے فون کے ذریعے اندرون اور بیرون ملک متعدد کالیں کیں۔ دوسری جانب ڈپٹی سپرنٹنڈنٹ جیل مقصود الرحمان نے جیو نیوز کو بتایا کہ کچھ عرصہ قبل ملاقات کیلئے آنے والے وکیل یا بھائی نے ڈاکٹر شکیل آفریدی کو موبائل فون فراہم کیا تھا، جس کے ذریعے ڈاکٹر شکیل آفریدی نے غیر ملکی اخبار کو انٹرویو دیا۔ اس واقعے کے بعد ڈاکٹر شکیل آفریدی کی سیکیورٹی پر مامور 6 اہلکاروں کے خلاف تحقیقات کی جا رہی ہیں۔ ڈپٹی سپرنٹنڈنٹ کے مطابق جیل کے کسی اہلکار کو حراست میں لیا گیا اور نہ کسی کو معطل کیا گیا ہے۔
