CNET Analysis: When iOS 6 was released in 2012 we were told that there were more than 200 updates, we just wish two of those were for the WiFi and battery. Anyway, all jokes aside most of these new features are behind the scenes, so we never get to see them. Every year Apple show off just some of the important features during a keynote, and iOS 7 will be no different this year. We don’t expect anything groundbreaking this year because Jony Ive has not had that long to get familiar with iOS 7, but we do hope that it is a vast improvement over iOS 6, because many iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users will tell you that this has to be one of the worst versions yet. Having already looked at a concept of what one fan believes the UI should look like ; we thought we should have a look at a recent video of the Social Hub for iOS 7. If we were to describe this as brief as possible, then it is like taking your contacts list and transform it into a full-on social hub. You can see this concept of iOS 7 Social Hub in the first video below, which we feel is far better to view than trying to explain the features for you. However, it’s worth noting that some people who have already seen the video believe that it’s a little like Windows Phone, but would you agree with that assumption. It’s fair to say that we all have our own ideas of what new features need to be included in iOS 7 and there have already been a huge number of rumors, as Apple needs some radical changes, even though we believe this will not happen until iOS 8. In the second video we get to see some more ideas, and because none of these are too drastic there’s no reason why Apple could not incorporate some of these into the next iOS update, whenever that will be. When do you think the release date for iOS 7 will be, and what is your wishlist?
